Start with entering your expected income, regular bills (rent, utilities, subscriptions and so on), debt repayments, savings and what you might think you’ll spend on ad-hoc items such as coffee, lunches and so on.
As you do so, you’ll see a ‘remaining budget’ figure which helps you allocate amounts to each of your outgoings-categories. If there’s some left over, for example, you might want to put more into your savings.
You’ll be able to specify which days of the month your regular bills are due and the template will map out those bills across the month on a regular bills calendar. It’ll also show you a graph over the month of when your bills are due so you can get an idea of your cashflow.
Once you’ve set your budget, there’s a place for you to keep track of your spending as the month goes by. You’ll see what categories you’re spending your money on and see if you’re on budget or not.
There are handy warning symbols throughout the sheet that show where you’re going off track.

Set up a list of goals you want to achieve (such as 10,000 steps, getting 8 hours sleep, reading a chapter of your book maybe) and enter the number of times per week you want to hit each goal.
The template features a 4-week view, broken down into weekly chunks.
Once you’ve entered your goals, it’s just a case of ticking off the relevant goal each day and the template will track your progress in multiple ways:
progress per goal per week
overall progress for a wee
overall progress for each goal over the 4-week period
overall progress for the entire 4-week period
The template will also tell you which of your goals you’ve done best with, and which is your worst as well as your best and worst weeks over the period.
Start the 4-week period on any date and the template will automatically adjust itself. Once you’ve completed the 4-week period, just duplicate the tab and start tracking the next 4-weeks.
-
Yes of course. All the tracking tools are on one tab. You can duplicate that tab for each period you’d like to track.
